Coast Longboarding has been working hard to put on the most exceptional and entertaining event yet! Aiming to raise awareness for one of the fastest growing sports in history, this year’s race is going to be bigger and better than ever. Attack of Danger Bay 7 is a free event, open to everyone in the community. Racing begins at 9 am Sunday morning, and everyone looks forward to hearing Bricin Lyons (creator of Danger Bay and pro racer) rip it up as the race announcer on Carnage Corner. Tickets for Sunday’s All-Ages Awards Show are $10 at the door starting at 7:30 pm.

Friday night

Festivities start with racer registration and creation of the Longboarders Campsite Community.

Saturday

On Saturday morning, racers take part in Canada’s 4th Annual Slide Competition, judged by the legendary Cliff Coleman. Next, racers take part in the 63rd annual May Day parade and celebrations, followed by the action-packed and comical Longboard Hockey Tournament featuring the LHL All Stars .This fun-filled day is for everyone, all are welcome.

Sunday

The moment we’ve all been waiting for— over 200 racers will race in heats till the final four are reached. The final heat is for a $2,000 first prize and with this year’s prizes reaching $5000 you know they’ll be racing hard and showing the spectators what this sport is all about.

Sunday evening at Pender Harbour Community Hall, an energetic live concert will take place, part of the All Ages Awards Show featuring some of the best punk bands around. With the likes of local favourites Loose Tooth, Cambridge, Not Quite Sober, Rebel Spell and Side Sixty Seven, this show is not to be missed. In the midst of it all, a Mohawk stylist will transform those who are brave and willing. Giveaways are endless (17 longboards this year) and, best of all, there will be the opportunity to meet the riders.
