Formed in 1990 to establish and maintain housing for local seniors, in 2003 the group campaigned for high density seniors’ housing on Lagoon Road, and Lily Lake Village developer Ryan Campbell donated footprint property for an Abbeyfield House.
Current projects include fundraising to build the Pender Harbour Abbeyfield House and, with the Pender Harbour Health Centre and Pender Harbour Legion, operation of the Outreach Healthy Meals Program.
Directors: Paul Cuppen (Chair), Jackie Ordronneau, Anky Drost, Beryl Carmichael, Louise Berg, Linda Curtiss and Jim Woodward. Membership is $5.

Harbourside Friendships

Our community seniors' group meets every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the School of Music for socializing, outings and to hear guest speakers. Admission, which includes a hot lunch, is $5.
Although there is only one dedicated seniors’ group in Pender Harbour, most local group memberships are largely seniors. You’ll find local groups listed throughout Pender Harbour Dot Org, on pages most relative to their activities, as well as on the Local Groups page.
