Diving
Pender Harbour has some of the best diving in British Columbia, and this province is known for some of the best diving in the world.
Remember: Always use caution when diving. Always have a buddy.
Diving Conditions
Temperature
The mean temperature below 10 metres is about 9° C, summer and winter. Near the surface, in summer, the temperature may exceed 20° C but rarely drops below 7° C in winter.
Visibility
15-25 metres is usual, and up to 40 metres during the colder periods of the year. Visibility is occasionally obscured by algal blooms in summer, especially in small, shallow bays.
