Lions Sports Field
Hwy. 101, Kleindale, at Lions Park
This new (2009) playing field at Lions Park was named the SCRD Lions Field in recognition of the Pender Harbour Lions Club’s donation of property and the SCRD taxpayers’ funding of the project. The name will be translated to Coast Salish in recognition of the Sechelt Indian Band’s donation of a portion of the property.
Pender Harbour Aquatic Centre

- May 2010 - Pender Harbour Aquatic Centre re-opens after an extensive renovation.
- 2008 - A renovation project for the Pender Harbour Aquatic Centre is announced, with the $850,000 repair and upgrade cost to be paid for by Area A residents over 20 years beginning in 2009.
Pender Harbour Aquatic Society
This group formed in the late 1970s to build and operates the Pender Harbour Aquatic Centre at the then-new Pender Harbour Secondary School. Members (single $3, family $5) get discounts on programs. All memberships must be renewed Aug. 31. Meetings are held monthly.
2009-10 Board of Directors: Gil Yard (Chair), Randy Picketts (Vice Chair), Barb Ellison (Secretary), Jo-Ann Vickers (Treasurer), Bill Gilkes, Susan Knock and Rene Leech.
Pender Harbour Secondary School
Our PHSS high school gymnasium is well-used for team events and social games of volleyball, basketball, etc.
