Attractions

The area’s museum is called the Egmont Heritage Centre. Yes, it’s in Egmont.

There are a number of historical buildings in the area, including the Sundowner Inn, Irvine’s Landing Hall, Garden Bay Hotel, the former teacherage in Madeira Park and the old Forestry buildings that comprise Madeira Park Cultural Centre.

Events

We’re sorry to tell you that the annual Sunshine Coast Wooden Boat Festival, held every August at the Madeira Park public wharf, has been cancelled for 2010. The event is organized by the Pender Harbour and Halfmoon Bay units of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
