Community Choir - You need only a love of singing; no skill or experience required to join our choir. Founded in 1973 by Les Fowler, the choir performs at local events and Sunshine Coast seniors’ facilities. Rehearse weekly, Sept-June, at the Pender Harbour Music School. Call Joanne, 604-883-9749.

Jazz Festival Committee - Co-founder Monty Rolston chose the third weekend of September for the Jazz Festival because, usually, it’s the sunniest weekend of the fall. The festival was established in 1997 to extend our tourist season.

“I’ve said that playing the blues is like having to be black twice. Stevie Ray Vaughan missed on both counts, but I never noticed.” BB King.
