With the resignation of Gordon Campbell Nov. 3, 2010, we technically don’t have a premier in British Columbia. A BC Liberal Party leadership convention will see someone put in the position, interm until the 2013 election.
Gordon Campbell of the BC Liberal Party was the 34th Premier or leader of the provincial government, elected for his third term in May, 2009 after serving since 2001, when he was elected with the largest majority in BC history.
Mr. Campbell served three terms as mayor of Vancouver, from 1986 to 1993. He and his wife of 34 years, Nancy (principal of Howe Sound Secondary in Squamish), have two adult sons, Geoffrey and Nicholas. They own recreational property near Pender Harbour.
